About Me

I am a clinical counsellor with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Pastoral Sexual Addiction Professional certified by IITAP (The International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals), and 10 years of experience in church ministry. I am married, have three children, and am myself a recovering sex addict. Read more about my story here.

I feel God has uniquely gifted me to share a story of healing, redemption, and hope. Let me walk with you as you begin your own redemption story.

Is There Freedom?

Yes, there is. Not just white knuckling your sobriety, not just living in despair waiting for the inevitable to happen. You can be free from sexual addiction.

Is there work? Yes, lots of it. But not in the way you think. Dr. Ted Roberts quotes that old adage of "Work smarter, not harder," when it comes to your sobriety and recovery.

You are not solely your addiction. You are so much more than that.

How Does It Work?

We use a number of modalities from different methodologies, such as CBT, ACT, and other acronyms that sound impressive.

We start from a position that believes you can change, because we have experienced that change that you so greatly desire.

We also believe that true healing comes from the Holy Spirit. Where you lack strength, look to HIm to provide it.

What We Offer

Think of me as a sherpa guide: I have already climbed the mountain you are staring up at: recovery. My job, as I see it, is to guide you up a path that I and so many other men before have taken. I know the fights you will have with yourself —your doubts and fears, resentments and illusions —where men, including myself, have made mistakes and fallen; the tools to use in your recovery; and what it takes to get back up.

I offer one-on-one counselling, where I journey with you twice a month as we use various materials to dig into the root causes of your addiction.

We lead closed accountability groups using Pure Desire's Seven Pillar materials that continue to pursue root causes, but with a group of men, where you will learn how important it is to find your healing —not just individually, but also with other men who want freedom.

Finally, I speak in churches, men's groups, and men's retreats about why we need to confront sexual addiction in our churches.
